Largest IDNs in Nevada

Nevada is the 32nd largest state in the U.S. when ranking based on population. Definitive Healthcare tracks 68 hospitals and healthcare facilities in Nevada, many of which are part of an integrated delivery network (IDN), or health system.

Your healthcare commercialization strategy can see a significant boost just by increasing your knowledge of the IDNs in Nevada. Specifically, two key metrics you should know are an IDN’s size, based on the number of its affiliated hospitals, and financial strength, based on its net patient revenue (NPR). As for the value this data provides, targeting large health systems allows for greater distribution of a product or service, and IDNs with high NPRs may be looking to upgrade or expand their services.

With the help of the Definitive Healthcare HospitalView product, we created lists of the largest and highest-earning IDNs in Nevada based on data from the Medicare Cost Report.

Targeting IDNs in Nevada

In today’s healthcare market, IDNs generally oversee all aspects of patient care, making them a valuable target for suppliers. Marketing to IDNs, especially those with more affiliated hospitals and clinics, can support broader distribution of your product or service amongst their network of care facilities.

However, selling into the healthcare space is complicated, and even more so when you’re looking to target IDNs. Each IDN follows a unique model, so a universal marketing approach will not be as successful as tailoring your marketing to match the IDN; understanding Nevada’s broader health system landscape can help you in this endeavor.

Beyond each IDN’s number of affiliated hospitals and NPR, other key metrics that can prove useful for your marketing strategy include prescription patterns, affiliations, and referrals.
