Craig Hazenfield, Chief People Officer

As Chief People Officer, Craig is responsible for the continued cultivation of Definitive Healthcare’s best place to work culture. He and his team partner with leaders throughout the company to attract, grow, and retain incredible talent.

Craig started his career at Deloitte as a consultant, working on strategy and operations engagements in the healthcare, manufacturing and retail industries. After Deloitte, Craig moved to Staples, the global office supplies retailer, running strategy for the retail division before stepping in to lead HR for the company’s U.S. stores and e-commerce businesses. Craig then joined Google as a senior HR leader, partnering directly with Google’s Ads and consumer hardware executive teams. Most recently, Craig was the first head of HR at CLEAR following their transition to a public company.

Craig’s experience has also included significant international experience – from having consulted at a recently-privatized truck manufacturer in Russia to managing world-wide teams at Google. He is passionate about developing great talent, building high-performance cultures, and fostering inclusion and belonging in the workplace.

Craig attended Miami University in Ohio, where he majored in business and minored in Russian language. He holds an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an HR certificate from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.

When not people-ing, Craig and his husband Ralph love to travel. And when not traveling, they spend as much time as possible with their pup Bruno.
