The Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center is the top hospital in New Hampshire based on net patient revenue, bringing in $1.4 billion each year—a revenue more than twice as large as the next hospital on this list. Since the number of beds is also twice as large, it’s understandable how this larger hospital can service more patients and bring in more revenue.
Ranked as the #1 hospital in New Hampshire by U.S. News & World Reports, this teaching hospital is also rated as high-performing in 16 procedures and conditions, some of which include cancer treatment/surgery, cardiology treatments, and maternity care.
The second-place New Hampshire hospital in terms of NPR is the Elliot Hospital in Manchester, which has an NPR of $660 million. This hospital has a virtual ER where patients can receive a virtual diagnosis and easily transition to in-person care if necessary. The Elliot Hospital also has a Level II regional trauma center and the only Level III neonatal intensive care unit in southern New Hampshire.
