Why is the number of beds important when selling to hospitals?
A variety of metrics can provide vital information about a hospital’s operational capabilities and overall efficiency. Understanding the number of staffed beds in a hospital, for instance, can give you an overall picture of the size and capacity of the facility.
A staffed bed refers to a licensed and physically available bed that, should it be occupied by a patient, has the staff on hand to attend. Essentially, staffed beds are set up and ready to be used by patients. The number of staffed beds may differ from the number of licensed beds a hospital can operate, making it a better metric for you to measure a facility’s overall size.
