What Indiana hospitals have the highest net patient revenue?

The Indiana hospital with the highest net patient revenue is IU Health Methodist Hospital, with an NPR of $3.5 billion. This is partially attributable to its vast size, with over twice the bed capacity (1,269 beds) of its nearest competitor, Parkview Regional Medical Center (542 beds). This allows IU Health Methodist Hospital to take on a larger patient volume, contributing to its higher NPR.

IU Health Methodist is a part of the Indiana University Health IDN, which has the largest network of physicians in Indiana. One of the largest teaching hospitals in the region, it partners with the Indiana University School of Medicine. It was ranked by U.S. News & World Report as the #1 hospital in Indiana for children and adults and as the #3 children’s hospital in the Midwest. Nationally, it is ranked in 10 children’s specialties, making the top 10 for pediatric pulmonology & lung surgery (#8) and pediatric urology (#3).

Parkview Regional Medical Center has the second-highest NPR in Indiana, with an NPR of $1.6 billion. This medical campus houses the Parkview Packnett Family Cancer Institute, Parkview Heart Institute, Parkview Ortho Hospital, and Parkview Women’s & Children’s Hospital. It has been named the Best and Brightest in Wellness by the National Association for Business Resources, and it has received a Stage 7 validation from the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society, demonstrating its exceptional implementation and use of healthcare technology.

Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis has Indiana’s third-highest net patient revenue, with an NPR of $1.4 billion. It is a full-service hospital with a Level I trauma center, transplant center, comprehensive stroke center, and burn center. It’s part of the Rural and Urban Access to Health (RUAH) community-based care coordination program that seeks to improve community access to care and remove barriers to needed resources. Ascension St. Vincent Hospital is ranked as the #2 hospital in Indianapolis and the #3 hospital in all of Indiana by U.S. News & World Report.
