This is partially attributable to its vast size, with over twice the bed capacity (1,269 beds) of its nearest competitor, Parkview Regional Medical Center (542 beds). This allows IU Health Methodist Hospital to take on a larger patient volume, contributing to its higher NPR.
IU Health Methodist is a part of the Indiana University Health IDN, which has the largest network of physicians in Indiana.
