ConnectedCareView tracks ACOs across the United States, offering detailed insights into their financial performance, patient populations, affiliations, and care coordination strategies. Using this data, we identified the ACOs in Georgia that generated the most significant Medicare savings. This metric is calculated by subtracting an ACO’s total beneficiary expenditures from its total expenditures, offering a snapshot of the financial impact on both the ACO and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

Which ACOs in Georgia generated the greatest savings?
According to Definitive Healthcare data, Piedmont Clinic ACO was the top performer among Georgia ACOs, generating over $39.9 million in Medicare savings. Serving 69,933 patients, Piedmont Clinic has established itself as a leader in Georgia, focusing on providing highly coordinated, patient-centered care.
Following closely, Privia Quality Network of Georgia generated more than $26.7 million in gross savings, with a patient population of 30,726.
WellStar Clinical Partners Medicare ACO ranked third on our list, with over $21.2 million in Medicare savings. Despite serving fewer patients than Piedmont Clinic, WellStar has successfully implemented strategies to streamline care coordination, resulting in substantial savings while ensuring high-quality patient outcomes.
