What is the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers & Associations (IFPMA)?
IFPMA represents the pharmaceutical industry at the international level. They work closely with all public health stakeholders in the UN system, including the World Trade Organization, World Health Organization, and World Intellectual Property Organization. They aim to promote sustainable policies and initiatives encouraging pharmaceutical innovation while providing global access to medicines and vaccines.
IFPMA also partners with the following, when necessary:

- Patient groups
- Civil society
- Global foundations
- International hospital organizations
- Research and academic institutions
How does IFPMA improve healthcare?
IFPMA shares information from the pharmaceutical industry to help achieve global health targets. Their role is to help the world appreciate the benefits of pharmaceutical innovation while increasing accessibility to medicine and vaccines worldwide, especially in low- and middle-income countries.
IFPMA also ensures an adequate understanding of the conditions needed to enable research and development, further improving healthcare.
