Community Leader
A healthcare provider who is recognized by their colleagues and peers because of their depth of treating experience
Community leaders, also referred to as clinical leaders, are healthcare providers who treat a large number of patients with a disease or within a therapeutic area and develop deep treatment expertise and experience.
Community leaders are often the first ones to try a new drug or an innovative new treatment approach. They are trusted sources of information and sought out by their colleagues for advice and input with regards to treatment choices.
For medical affairs groups, community leaders are critical experts to engage because of the weight their recommendations carry within the treating community.
