Named to Boston Business Journal’s Fast 50, Largest Private Companies, and Largest Software Development Firms Lists

FRAMINGHAM, MA – June 29, 2020 – Definitive Healthcare, the leading provider of data, intelligence, and analytics on the healthcare provider market, today announced that it has been recognized by the Boston Business Journal (BBJ) as a Fast 50 company – one of the top 50 fastest growing private firms in Massachusetts – for the fourth year in a row. The company also announced that it placed, again, on this year’s BBJ’s “Largest Private Companies” list (ranked #67) and “Largest Software Development Firms” list (ranked #20).

We are fortunate to have seen incredible growth since our founding in 2011, and we are thrilled to see our dedicated team recognized by the Boston Business Journal for the fourth year in a row. I am particularly pleased that we have been able to maintain our strong position on these lists as our business continues to scale upward. Our ongoing placement on these lists is truly a testament to our hardworking employees, as well as the vision of our valued and loyal customer base,” said Jason Krantz, founder and CEO of Definitive Healthcare. “In 2019, we surpassed 400 talented team members, acquired two companies – PatientFinder and the data services division of HIMSS Analytics— and were recognized as the #1 Best Place to Work in Massachusetts. Going forward, we continue to execute on our product roadmap with expanded commercial claims datasets and innovative go-to-market solutions.

The Fast 50 companies are selected and ranked by the Boston Business Journal based on a formula that counts revenue growth from 2016 to 2019. Definitive Healthcare has received the Boston Business Journal’s Fast 50 award for the past four consecutive years: 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020.

This is also Definitive Healthcare’s third time named to the Boston Business Journal’s “Largest Private Companies” list, ranked by the company’s total revenue, and its second time placing on the “Largest Software Development Firms” list, ranked by total Massachusetts employees. And in December 2019, the company’s CEO, Jason Krantz, received the RSM Middle Market Executive of the Year award.

At a time when positive business news is hard to come by, the privately held companies included among this year’s Fast 50 have something to celebrate indeed,” said Carolyn M. Jones, market president and publisher of the Boston Business Journal. “The COVID-19 crisis has changed the way we work and live; and like many others, we have re-imagined our event and content to ensure the health and safety of all. Our celebration, originally scheduled to be held on May 20, is now expected to be held in November.”

The Fast 50 event will take place at the Aloft Hotel Seaport in South Boston, where the rankings will be announced. View all Fast 50 honorees here.
